🔍 Architect's Commentary — MD-13: The Operational Reality Appraisal

This is the document that separates CircularOS from every other circular economy pitch in existence: an honest, documented self-appraisal of operational reality before the first commercial client was signed. Most businesses present upside; this document presented the gap between vision and ground truth — and then closed the gap.

The Operational Reality Appraisal established the '20-tonne monthly baseline' as the minimum viable operation. Everything above that threshold is pure margin expansion. The system was designed to be profitable at the minimum, geometric above it — this is what 'Linear Equity™' means in practice.

Read alongside MD-16 (Velocity Bridge) and MD-20 (Eleven-Day Sprint), this document shows the three-stage journey: acknowledge the reality (MD-13), build the acceleration mechanism (MD-16), execute against it (MD-20). The sequence matters — self-awareness before strategy, strategy before execution.

For current use: the operational realities identified here have largely been resolved by the infrastructure built since. The 20-tonne loop is the live operating target for Midland Polymer Trading Ltd. (Entity #8). The 'reality gaps' in this document are now the 'problems already solved' section of your investor deck.
