🎯 How to use these QR codes well

📏 Print at least 2cm × 2cm
Smaller than that and most phone cameras struggle. For posters seen from a distance, scale up — rough rule: 1cm of QR per 1m of viewing distance.
🛡️ Use error-correction H if you add a logo
High ECC lets the QR survive a centre logo, scratches, dirt or printing dropouts. Costs you nothing in scan speed.
🌓 Keep contrast strong
Dark dots on light background scans best. Avoid inverted (light on dark) — many cameras refuse them. The defaults here are safe.
🔗 Test before you print 1,000
Always scan the printed sample with two different phones (iPhone + Android) before you commit. Different cameras, different results.
📐 Leave the white margin
QR codes need a "quiet zone" around them — at least 4 modules of blank space. The default margin handles this.
🔁 Permanent vs disposable
Once printed, the QR target URL cannot change. Either point to a stable page (e.g. /bin-finder) or use a redirect like /go/ that you can repoint later.
