Aberystwyth. One and a half kilometres of pebbled crescent under the cliffs of Constitution Hill. A Welsh university town. A working harbour. A community that already knows how to organise. Aberystwyth was chosen because it is small enough to clean in one Saturday morning. Aberystwyth is where the operator runs the very first sovereign beach campaign with the university Geography department as on-the-ground partner. The students get coursework credit. The beach gets cleaned. The food bank in Ceredigion gets a 14-meal block delivered the same afternoon. The Truth Ledger shows the first verified Welsh tonne.
