Bournemouth Beach. Eleven kilometres from Hengistbury Head to Sandbanks. Blue Flag. Award-winning. The cleanest of the big English seasides. Which is exactly why we chose it. Bournemouth proves that the Sovereign Beach model is not a salvage operation — it is a proof-of-trust loop. The plastic load is lower here, around 280 kilos per kilometre, but the surface area is bigger. Multiplied: 3.08 tonnes available. Under the dPRN floor that's 1,386 pounds of verified value. One hundred and twenty three meals at 40 per tonne. Two hundred and forty six volunteer hours. Four point six tonnes of CO2 equivalent saved. The Bournemouth pitch is to the BCP Council, the Beach Hut Owners Association, and the seven major hotels along the cliff-top. This is not rescue work. This is the maintenance ritual that keeps a Blue Flag flying. Four of these per year and the council can claim a verified, ledger-stamped 12.3 tonnes of plastic averted, 492 meals funded into Dorset food schemes, and a carbon offset that costs them nothing because we do the work and the reimbursement comes from the buyer side. Bournemouth is the model for a Council Sovereign Beach Pact. We prove the loop closes here, we open every English Blue Flag next summer.
