Sovereign Physical Gateway · Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley
The First Brick · B66 Corridor · Mass Balance System · V2 Launch
This unit represents a defining moment in the sovereign infrastructure build. Midland Polymer Trading Ltd now holds a physical presence within the West Midlands — a community anchor in the B66 corridor where materials flow, jobs are created, and the circular economy becomes tangible and visible.
The Merry Hill Shopping Centre unit is the sovereign system's first physical gateway — a real-world location where materials arrive, are weighed, logged, and formally entered into the CircularOS Truth Ledger. Every kilogram that comes through this door generates a dPRN at £450/tonne, triggers the 7% Covenant, and feeds the ecosystem's financial infrastructure. This is not a warehouse. This is the system made physical.
The Merry Hill unit is positioned deliberately close to major commercial producers of plastic packaging waste. Asda, as a major UK retailer with distribution and logistics infrastructure across the West Midlands, represents the anchor supply chain target. Nearby manufacturers in the Dudley and Smethwick industrial corridor provide a consistent feedstock of post-industrial plastic material.
| Partner | Type | Material | Est. Volume | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🛒 Asda | Retail / Supermarket | PE film, shrink wrap, HDPE trays | Target: 5–20t/month | Outreach Active |
| 🏭 Midlands Manufacturers | Post-industrial | HDPE, PP, ABS off-cuts | Target: 10–50t/month | Prospecting |
| 🏪 Local Retail Chain | Retail Waste | Mixed packaging streams | Target: 2–10t/month | To Approach |
| 🏗️ Construction Suppliers | Post-industrial | Polypropylene, PVC | Target: 5–25t/month | Mapped |
Asda is EPR-liable from 2025 onwards under UK packaging regulations. They have a statutory obligation to evidence that their plastic waste is being handled through certified recycling channels. A dPRN from CircularOS gives them exactly that evidence — verifiable, immutable, government-compliant. The Merry Hill unit is the collection point. The Truth Ledger is the proof. This is a value exchange they already need — we just need to be in the room.
Mass balance is the international standard for certifying recycled content in plastic products where physical segregation of recycled and virgin material is not practical. CircularOS now supports it natively — free for all users, no tiers, built directly into the Truth Ledger.
| Method | What It Means | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| physical_segregation | Recycled material is kept physically separate from virgin | Cleanest claim — highest premium |
| mass_balance | Recycled content is tracked by weight across mixed flows | Industrial / mixed feedstock (Merry Hill default) |
| book_claim | Certificates traded without physical material moving | Chemical recycling / remote supply chains |

The VT is designed for chemical recycling clients and advanced supply chain partners who need the highest level of traceability. A VT certificate links a specific batch of material to a third-party verification body, a proof document, and an immutable entry in the Truth Ledger.
CircularOS is no longer purely digital. The Merry Hill unit is the system's first physical address. It makes the sovereign infrastructure real, touchable, and investable in ways that no amount of documentation alone can achieve.
Waste enters at Merry Hill. A dPRN is minted. Value flows through the Covenant. Suppliers get compliance evidence. The system earns. This is FullLoop — not a concept, a process — running in the real world.
Smethwick, Oldbury, Dudley, West Bromwich — one of the UK's densest concentrations of manufacturing and logistics. The Merry Hill unit is positioned to become the de facto plastic materials gateway for this corridor.
A secured physical unit + a live mass balance system + an active supply chain pipeline = the kind of real-world traction that moves investors from interested to committed. This is a milestone that belongs in every investor brief from this point forward.
