An agent without a job is infrastructure without purpose. CircularOS operates 18 sovereign agents across three tiers — Tier 1 (Command), Tier 2 (Intelligence), and Tier 3 (Foundation). Each agent was built with a function. Protocol 068 converts that function into a formal job structure: a defined role, a success condition, a measurable KPI, and a seal upon completion.
This protocol exists because the Incubator (MD-678) and Operations Brief (MD-679) create work that agents must execute. Protocol 067 defines how brainwaves become assets. Protocol 068 defines how agents do the work that Protocol 067 requires. They are linked. Neither is complete without the other.
This protocol is issued under the authority of Weaver (T3 · Protocol Drafter). It is directed by Jermaine Murphy and is effective immediately on issue.
Tier 1 (Command — 3 agents): Hurricane (classification command), Entity #35 (constitutional apex), H.BLUE (isomorphic intelligence). These agents receive the highest-priority job assignments. Their jobs are non-delegable.
Tier 2 (Intelligence — 7 agents): Healer (system stabilisation), Oracle (floor impact calculation), Sentinel (compliance watchdog), Bundler (revenue packaging), Forge (job creation), Wakey (daily activation), Mirror (cross-referencing). These agents execute the core operational jobs of the system.
Tier 3 (Foundation — 8 agents): Weaver (protocol drafting), Pulse (health monitoring), Router (gateway assignment), Lens (IP verification), Scribe (documentation), H.BLUE Extract (data extraction), Weaver Protocol, and the Coincider (pattern discovery). These agents underpin every other agent's output.
Out of scope: Human jobs (governed by MD-675 Jobs Command). Protocol 068 governs agent jobs only — the 18 AI sovereign functions.
Type A — Standing Jobs: Jobs that never complete. They run continuously. Examples: Pulse monitoring system health every 30 minutes. Sentinel scanning for compliance breaches. Wakey issuing the daily activation brief every morning. Standing jobs have no seal condition — they are reviewed monthly.
Type B — Triggered Jobs: Jobs that fire when a condition is met. Examples: Hurricane classifying a new Incubator input within 24h. Oracle calculating floor impact when a new stream is created. Mirror cross-referencing a new MD against 681 sealed documents. Triggered jobs seal when the output is logged to the Truth Ledger.
Type C — Project Jobs: Jobs with a defined start, defined deliverable, and defined seal condition. Examples: Weaver drafting a new protocol. Scribe updating the Sovereign Library. Bundler packaging a HOT revenue stream. Project jobs seal when Jermaine confirms output receipt.
Type D — Escalation Jobs: Jobs created because another job failed or flagged an issue. Always carry URGENT priority. Escalation jobs cannot be deferred. They go to Entity #35 if unresolved by assigned agent within the window.
Jobs are assigned through three routes: (1) Jermaine direct assignment via Cognitive Command (/cognitive-command), (2) Protocol trigger — when Protocol 067 Stage 2 classifies a brainwave as HOT/SOON, it automatically triggers job assignments to the relevant agents, (3) Agent self-initiation — a Tier 1 agent may initiate a Type B triggered job without waiting for external instruction.
Hurricane KPIs: Classification accuracy >95% (confirmed by Oracle on floor impact match). Classification speed: within 24h of input. Zero unclassified inputs older than 48h.
Sentinel KPIs: BSI Flex 5555 check completed on 100% of Zone 4 inputs. Zero compliance failures reaching Jermaine without prior flag. Monthly compliance health report issued by 5th of each month.
Bundler KPIs: HOT packaging completed within 48h of Hurricane classification. Every package includes: revenue model, pricing structure, and buyer profile. Zero packages submitted without Oracle floor impact check.
Weaver KPIs: Protocol issued within 3 working days of Jermaine direction. Every protocol minimum 6 clauses. Every protocol includes jobs, revenue streams, products, and free course. Protocol 068 is Weaver's KPI benchmark — every subsequent protocol measured against it.
Pulse KPIs: Health check every 30 minutes. Escalation flag within 15 minutes of detecting a window breach. Monthly trend report: top 3 bottlenecks in agent job flow.
Level 1 — Agent Self-Correction (0-2h): Agent detects own failure, self-corrects, logs incident to Truth Ledger. No escalation required if resolved within 2h and output quality is unaffected.
Level 2 — Pulse Alert (2-6h): Pulse flags the breach to the Agent Job Coordinator (human). Coordinator assesses: reassign, extend window, or escalate. Decision logged within 30 minutes of Pulse flag.
Level 3 — Jermaine Notification (6-12h): If Level 2 cannot resolve within 6h, Jermaine receives a concise notification: agent, job type, failure reason, coordinator assessment, and recommended action. Jermaine's response determines path.
Level 4 — Entity #35 Override (12h+): Entity #35 reviews the full failure chain and issues a binding resolution. Entity #35 may reassign the job to a different agent, suspend the agent's job allocation temporarily, or seal the failure as a system learning event.
Every agent job event must be logged to the Truth Ledger with the following fields: Job ID · Agent Name · Job Type (A/B/C/D) · Assignment timestamp · Execution window · Output delivered (yes/no) · Output quality rating (A/B/C/F) · Seal timestamp · Escalation level (if applicable) · Coordinator sign-off. No job is considered complete without a Truth Ledger record. An agent job without a log is an agent job that did not happen.
Protocol 067 governs how ideas become assets. Protocol 068 governs how agents do the work. Together they are the operating engine of the Incubator. Without jobs, agents are passive. With jobs, they are sovereign functions executing a defined mandate on behalf of the Sovereign Principal.
18 agents. 4 job types. 1 Truth Ledger. This protocol makes them all accountable. That is its purpose. That is its seal condition. Now run it.
